RD350 cables and brakes |
| The top throttle cable was frayed at the junction to the throttle housing. I replaced it with bicycle cable. I used standard Shimano brake housing and used some shifter cable. Just measured the free length and soldered on a brass ferrule. I put shrink tubing over the same areas as the standard cable. |
The front brake caliper was stuck from 30 years of not moving. Welding a bolt onto the inner side of the cup let me get enough leverage to twist it out. Both brake pistons are eched and not usable. | |
| Here is my RD350 in my shop with some other of our bikes. |
